Note from the Artist - Desire
 
There are many small and large boxes around us in our lives.
 
When I opened and unwrapped the boxes, I was surprised to see how the net was formed.
The net was the type of canvas I was looking for because it was unique at its own way.
While I painted on regular canvases, I looked for a canvas that was different and extraordinary.
 
The net of a box played the role of canvases; in a different, special way.
 
Before you open a box, you do not know what is unside.
All you can do is imagine what is inside.
 
I wanted to fill in the boxes with dreams and hopes.
I do not want boxes to become a waste, but to become the desire of people.

꿈을 찾아서...
 
우리 주변에는 크고 작은 많은 상자들이 있다.
 
그 상자를 펼 쳤을 때마다 여러 형태의 모양을 발견하고 놀라움과 반가움을 금치 못했다.
그것은 내가 찾던 변형된 화면 이었다.
 
항상 네모난 화면에 그림을 그려 오면서, 뭔가 다른, 변형된 화면을 갈망해 왔다.
상자는 나에게 있어 변형된 화면으로서, 훌륭한 캔바스 역할을 해 준다.
 
우리 주변에 흔하게 볼 수 있는 상자는 열어 보기 전에는 그 속에 무엇이 담겨져 있는지 모른다.
다만 상상할 뿐이다.
나는 그 속에 관람자의 꿈을 담고 싶었고 그 꿈을 펼쳐 보이고 싶다.
 
상자는 그저 버려지는 일상의 상자가 아니라 소망의 상자이길 바람이다.
